“This follows engagement with UEFA in recent days, which granted special dispensation for the match to be played there, given the unique combination of factors requiring a new venue following our men's team's home draw in the Carabao Cup quarterfinal.

“We are grateful to members of our supporters groups throughout this time who provided valuable feedback which was reflected in our dialogue with UEFA. We also thank UEFA for their collaboration in finding a viable outcome.”

The club also had to solve another problem, as fans had already started buying tickets for the women's match at the Emirates.

But they offered an exclusive period so that those who already had tickets could buy a new one for the new venue.

“Supporters who have already purchased a ticket will automatically receive a full refund and a 24-hour priority access window to purchase a new ticket for this match at Meadow Park,” the statement continued.

“This window will open at 2 pm on Tuesday, November 26, and tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis (subject to availability).

“We would like to recognize these supporters and their commitment to following us in our UEFA Women's Champions League campaign.

“As a gesture of goodwill, we would like to offer a complimentary ticket to a future WSL match at Emirates Stadium this season, or a £20 retail voucher which can be redeemed at The Armory or Arsenal Direct.”

Arsenal's clash with Bayern is their final Group C clash and will prove pivotal to their success in the knockout round.

Both have already qualified, but a victory for the Gunners would allow them to overtake Bayern and finish first.

The two clubs met in their first match of the Champions League group stage, in which the Bavarian team easily won 5-2.

It would have been an event worthy of a larger venue like the Emirates, but unfortunately it was not to be.

As for the Arsenal men's team, they are looking to win the League Cup for the first time since 1993.
