WATCH: Kylian Mbappe strikes first as Real Madrid lead against Pachuca in Intercontinental Cup
After winning the UEFA Super Cup in August, Real Madrid go for their second trophy of the season against Pachuca in the final of the Intercontinental Cup, which takes place in Doha, Qatar. Just before half time, Carlo Ancelotti's team managed to strike the first blow.
Kylian Mbappe missed the weekend shootout at Rayo Vallecano through injury, and although he was initially expected to miss out against Pachuca, he recovered quickly enough to start. He is the one who opened the scoring.

It's a very good team goal from Real Madrid, with Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior involved before Mbappe applied the finish. It's his third goal in three consecutive games, after scoring against Girona and Atalanta.
It was not the most convincing performance in the opening 37 minutes from Real Madridbut that matters little now that I am ahead. Can they maintain this advantage?
