Borussia Mönchengladbach already planning for the summer transfer window

kicker reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach are already planning their summer transfer window as the winter is likely to be quiet for them.

Little movement is expected at Borussia Park in the summer as everyone seems happy with the current squad set up. So instead Gladbach are already looking towards the summer.

Bochum’s Bernardo is said to be of interest to Gladbach. The Brazilian was also of interest in the summer but stayed at the Ruhrstadion as he recovered from an injury. Last season, he was statistically one of the best defenders in the league but like Bochum, has struggled this season. Bernardo’s contract expires in the summer

Copenhagen’s Kevin Diks is a player that Gladbach have held a long term interest in. Like Bernardo, his contract also expires in the summer and as Gladbach previously tried to sign the Indonesian international, they will likely try again and could do so with a free transfer.

In attack, Augsburg’s Rubén Vargas is also an option at Gladbach. The Swiss’ contract also expires in the summer but a move in the winter could be possible as a fee of €1.5-2m is likely demanded.
