When does the ban on yellow cards end?
The threshold for a yellow card penalty is reset to the midpoint of the first division season.
That means that after GW19, receiving a fifth booking of the campaign would not result in a suspension.
Instead, players are sanctioned when they reach 10 yellow cards.
The last game of GW19 will be on January 1, 2025.
So if a player avoids a fifth caution before then, he will no longer be on the brink of a suspension.
There will then be a threshold of 10 cards up to GW33, and if a player reaches that limit they will be suspended for two games.
