Wolves star Matheus Cunha has reportedly been ruled out for the rest of the season with a “significant” hamstring injury.
The Brazilian has enjoyed an excellent season at Molineux after making his move from Atlético Madrid permanent this summer.
Cunha has scored 11 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions during Wolvesincluding a hat-trick in the 4-2 win against Chelsea.
However, the striker played just 20 minutes against Brentford on Saturday before withdrawing injured with a hamstring problem.
Sky Sports have now reported that he is ruled out for the rest of the season as a result of what is a major blow to Wolves' attack.
Boss Gary O'Neil revealed after their 2–0 defeat against Brentford that Cunha said his hamstring “doesn't feel that bad now”.

But the director has now issued a additional update about the forward, although he has not planned a return date.
“It's a pretty significant hamstring injury,” O'Neil said. “There is no timetable for this.
“I've talked to Matheus a lot and he just wants to keep pushing to get back as soon as he can. He's already started working on it, so we're going to monitor him week by week, day by day. How far he can go and how quickly we can get him back.
“He really wants to get back to playing as soon as possible. Obviously it's a big blow for us, for the team and for Matheus for the work he's been doing; the form he was in was exceptional. These things happen, all teams suffer injuries.
“Channy (Hwang Hee-chan) was away for more than a month with the Asian Cup and we managed to keep going and we have to do the same without Matheus.”
Cunha first joined Wolves last January on loan from Atlético Madrid and scored just two goals in his first 20 games for the club.
His form has improved dramatically since then, with 11 goals making him their joint top scorer with Hwang.
Wolves' hopes of securing European football could now be hit by Cunha's absence.
The Black Country side currently sit 11th in the Premier League table but are just four points off seventh place and what could possibly be a place in next season's Europa Conference League.
Next up is a tough trip to Tottenham before they try to avoid a third straight home defeat when they host Sheffield United at Molineux.
