Liverpool have suffered a damaging injury with Trent Alexander-Arnold out for an extended period.
The Reds' vice-captain will miss his team's next three games, in the Premier League against Luton and Brentfordand the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea on February 25.
The full-back has aggravated an existing knee injury, according to reports The times.
Alexander-Arnold suffered a knee problem in the 2–0 FA Cup victory over Arsenal on 7 January and missed three matches, before making cameo appearances against Norwich, Arsenal, Chelsea and Burnley.
However, the defender was substituted at half-time of the 3-1 victory over Burnley on February 10 after aggravating his lateral collateral ligament tear.
Speaking to talkSPORT after the match, coach Jurgen Klopp He said: “He felt it a little bit, in the same area of the knee where he had the last injury, so we have to see, we have to evaluate that.
“It looked good, but it felt a little bit so we had to take it off.
“And then with the situation we have in terms of availability, we had to put Curtis (Jones) at right back and he did extremely well, I must say.
“That's probably the best thing about the whole game, how the guys accepted the difficulties, faced them, tried to overcome them and got a very deserved result.”
Alexander-Arnold's absence has been mitigated by the emergence of academy graduate Conor Bradley starring in his place, but the 20-year-old Northern Irishman was sadly out of action for the Reds' last two games due to the death of his father.
Alexander-Arnold has also been in good form, registering two goals and ten assists in 29 games this season.
