Miguel Gutierrez was linked, while Caught Offside say that Real Madrid also has an interest in Paris Saint-Germain and the Portuguese defender Nuno Mendes. The 22-year-old fits the club's transfer policy perfectly, although a deal could prove difficult as Manchester United are said to be pushing hard to close a deal.
Must Real Madrid left by Davies, it will be important that the right player is signed in his place. Mendes would be a good option, but considering that Gutierrez can be brought from Girona for only 8 million euros, he would definitely be the best option.
