Villa will also be looking to better last season’s FA Cup campaign and book their place in the fifth round of the competition this evening.

But the team will have to overcome Bristol Rovers who have already defeated four sides to reach this stage of the cup.

The FA Women’s National League Division South West side entered at the third-round qualifying stage where they defeated Sholing 2-1 away from home.

They then came out on top of a seven-goal thriller in the first round proper as they beat Sherborne Town 4-3 before storming to a 4-0 victory over Marine Academy Plymouth in the second round.

Nathan Hallett-Young’s side impressively beat third division side Oxford United 3-2 on the road back in Decemberto book their place in the fourth round of the competition for the first time ever.

The Last Outing

Aston Villa wrapped up 2024 with a convincing 3-1 victory over West Ham United at Villa Park back in December.

A brace from Adriana Leon and late solo strike from Kenza Dali sealed the win and cancelled out a first-half goal from Vivienne Asseyi.

Jordan Nobbs also once again made history as she became the first-ever player to make 200 Women’s Super League appearances.
