Seville defends Small Rooms he was arrested by the police on suspicion of alleged illegal gambling practices. The National Police investigated Salas after a series of yellow cards that raised suspicions.
According to El Confidencial, as told by MarcoSalas was detained by the police for questioning on the matter. He is suspected of deliberately taking yellow cards so that people close to him can bet on him being booked, and earn money for that. Two more of his “close circle” are also being investigated.
Salas has been booked 3 times in 14 appearances in La Liga this season, but after picking up 7 yellow cards in 9 games in the last quarter of last season, suspicions have been raised. One of those games he missed due to suspension, and Salas became the most booked player in the League in that period, and for testimonies and evidence the National Police compiled a case.
Los Nervionenses have not publicly addressed the matter. Salas has a contract until 2029 Sevilleand recently he was linked with a move to Lazio, which presumably will have the breaks slammed. In the last 7 weeks, Salas has been a starter for Garcia Pimienta.
