January signing Donyell Malen will wear the No.17 shirt for Aston Villa.
The Dutch forward became Villa’s first signing of the January window on Tuesday, arriving from German outfit Borussia Dortmund where he scored 39 goals and registered 20 assists in 132 games.
And his squad number has now been confirmed, seeing him become the first player to wear 17 in claret and blue since Clément Lenglet in 2023/24.
