Real Madrid got off to a dream start in Vallecas, scoring early to set up a 1-0 lead over Rayo Vallecano. However, they have since been sent back, and it is a former Los Blancos star who has the goal for the hosts.
It was Joselu Matu who found the back of the net for Real Madrid in three minutes, although Rayo hit back from the penalty spot. Eduardo Camavinga was adjudged to have handled in the area after a strike by Oscar Trejo, with a VAR reference seeing the decision on the field of no penalty changed.
Is Camavinga destined to cut off his hands to prevent this? Did he literally have his arms right next to his chest? I honestly don't know the handball rule anymore. pic.twitter.com/KbpAVFbFLq

Raul de Tomas went up against his old side, and he beat Andriy Lunin from 12 meters to make it 1-1.

It's a brilliant penalty from RDT – although Lunin had dived the right way, it simply wasn't getting close.
It's a shot for Real Madrid to be pegged back as they look to go eight points clear of Girona in the La Liga title race. Vallecano Ray they will hope they can stop that happening as new coach Inigo Perez aims to avoid defeat in his first game in charge.
