Real Madrid made sure signature of Kylian Mbappe already, more than a decade after first trying to sign the French. The 25-year-old fulfilled what he said was his dream when he joined Los Blancos in July on a free from Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Brand, The deal was signed two weeks ago after about a month of talks between Mbappe's mother and agent Fayza Lamari, his lawyer Delphine Verheyden and Managing Director Jose Angel Sanchez. It was said that the deal would only be on Real Madrid's terms this time, and it looks like they got their way.

While Real Madrid they compromised on image rights – it was previously reported that Mbappe would earn around 60% of them – Mbappe took a major pay cut. His deal will see him earn a net salary of €15-20 million per year, over a period of five years. It is a cut close to half of his salary of 32 million euros per year at PSG.

Equally the signing bonus has also decreased significantly from the 130 million euros that had been agreed, as it will now be below 50 million euros. At PSG, in his last deal signed two summers ago, his signing bonus was 60 million euros, and he also had a loyalty bonus of 80 million euros, although there are conflicting reports about to whether Mbappe will give up some of this money.

Mbappe will shoot straight to the top of Real Madrid's salary, and is undoubtedly the best paid in their history, also taking into account their image rights, but in terms of the overall signing, it should be considered as and a deal for Real Madrid. Not having to pay his transfer fee, and also putting only a few million more than the first earned in the team means that it will not be an agreement that will condition the club financially in the coming years. The fact that he has signed a five-year deal also means that Real Madrid can move forward without fear of Mbappe's contract talks on the horizon any time soon, as has happened to PSG of late.
