Hodgson took up his first managerial position in 1976, where he was in charge of Swedish club Halmstad.

That earned him a move to Italian giants Inter Milan, where he spent two years before moving to the Premier League with Blackburn.

After a failed spell at Ewood Park, a second spell as Inter manager followed, but as interim manager.

He was away from England for eight years before landing the Fulham job in 2007, leading them to Premier League safety in the 2007/08 season before leading them to the Europa League final in 2010.

Hodgson then joined Liverpool in the summer of 2010 but lasted just six months at Anfield, where he rebuilt his career at West Brom.

England successfully qualified for the remaining two tournaments he was in charge, but his tenure came to a sudden end when the Three Lions were eliminated from Euro 2016 with a shock defeat to Iceland.

Just over a year after resigning as England manager, he was given the job at Palace and did a good job of stabilizing them in the Premier League during his four-year tenure.

He then left at the end of the 2020/21 season before returning towards the end of last season.

But a change was made at Selhurst Park with Palace in 16th place, five points above the relegation zone.

At 49 years old, Glasner is in the early years of his managerial career, which began in 2014.

After spells with SV Ried and LASK in his homeland, Glasner left for Germany to become coach of Wolfsburg in 2019.

He spent two years there before becoming manager of Eintracht Frankfurt, where he won the Europa League in his first season, beating Rangers in the final.

Glasner left Frankfurt at the end of last season, in which they reached the last 16 of the Champions League, as well as reaching the final of the DFB-Pokal and qualifying for this season's Europa Conference League.
