Gary Neville could have a new role at Manchester United thanks to investment from Sir Jim Ratcliffe
Gary Neville could return to Manchester United to oversee the regeneration of Old Trafford.
Neville owns two properties neighboring Old Trafford, Hotel Football and University Academy 92.
He club legend and the former captain has been invited to join a committee that will be responsible for the remodeling of the stadium and its surroundings, according to The times.
The former right back, who played exclusively in the Red Devils From 1992 to 2011, he held a series of meetings with United's chief operating officer, Collette Roche, to try to help the club.
The report claims that Neville is happy to help in any capacity that does not conflict with his pundit job at Sky Sports.
The former Valencia coach and England assistant has been highly critical of the Glazer family, who remain majority shareholders despite Jim Ratcliffe's recent purchase of 28 per cent of the club's shares.

Among his criticisms of the Americans, Neville criticized their apparent lack of care for the stadium.
In 2022 He said: “If the Glazer family leaves Old Trafford for a few more years in the current state it is in, they will be in trouble.
“Doing anything at the stadium will be a three to five year process, including obtaining planning permission for the renovations, which will probably take 12 months, approval from fans and then a few more years to complete the work.
“The Glazers need to do a major renovation or rebuild, and they are committed to doing so.”

New minority owner Ratcliffe has already approved the purchase of 28 per cent of the club's shares and is believed to have made the regeneration of Old Trafford a priority.
The Monaco-based billionaire is considering building a new £1.5bn-£2bn stadium next to Old Trafford or an £800m redevelopment.
If a new stadium is opted for, it would be built behind the Stretford End, with the surrounding land redeveloped into an entertainment village in the hope of creating jobs and boosting the local economy.
