Everton and 777 Partners increasingly frustrated with Premier League over lack of progress on takeover

Everton and 777 Partners are increasingly frustrated by the Premier League's lack of urgency to approve or reject their takeover, talkSPORT understands.

In September, the candies announced that the American investment firm agreed to buy Farhad Moshiri's 94.1 percent majority stake.

The standard deadline for the Premier League to ratify such an agreement is up to twelve weeks, but Everton are still waiting for a result.

The Premier League has asked 777 Partners, which wholly and partly owns other clubs in Spain, Italy, Brazil, Belgium, Australia and France, for more information about its plans to finance Everton.

However, this is something the Miami-based organization claims to have already provided, but is willing to do so again.

Meanwhile, 777 has loaned Everton more than £150m to help with the day-to-day operations and construction of their new stadium while the takeover progresses.

They have also attended all of the club's matches and will be present at the match in Brighton on Saturday afternoon.

Everton's potential owners have a varied investment portfolio ranging from sports teams to aviation, entertainment and insurance.

777 Partners had already bought majority stakes in Italian team Genoa and Belgian club Standard Liege, and a minority stake in Spanish team Sevilla.

However, they had to rubbish statements that his acquisition of Everton was on the brink of collapse in October.

The former Crystal Palace owner believes the transaction could be “good” for 777 Partners, but “it doesn't look very good” for Everton.

Meanwhile, the Toffees await the success of your appeal against the ten Premier League point deduction imposed on them for violating financial rules.

Everton fell into the relegation zone as a result of their suspension, but have since moved up into the bottom three and sit in 17th place.
