Adriana Leon continued her red-hot form, scoring a hat-trick in Canada’s 4-0 win over Paraguay on Sunday evening at the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
The forward had enjoyed an impressive run of form for Aston Villa of late and finished second in voting for the club’s Player of the Month award for February.
Adriana notched twice in her country’s opening-game victory over El Savador, and went one better on Sunday evening by notching a hat-trick.
As a result, Canada have qualified for the quarter-finals with a game to spare.
That final group-stage encounter will come against Costa Rica on Wednesday evening, with Leon hoping to add to her tally of five goals at the tournament.
