Emmanuel Macron was one of the main culprits behind Kylian Mbapp breaking a commitment to Real Madrid two years ago to finally renew with PSG. The other two were Nasser al Khelaifi and the emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Well, the three may meet again tomorrow.
They will be with the French striker at the reception that the French President has organized for the Emir of the Arab country, who is visiting the French capital for the first time on an official visit since he came to the throne in 2013.
According to Le Parisien, the striker, who is one of the guests, will attend the event giving the trio a chance to speak to him after he all but announced a bombshell move to Real Madrid by declaring that he will not renew his contract with PSG.
After joining from Monaco in 2017, initially on loan, the World Cup winner spent the last six years in Paris scoring 244 goals to become their record top scorer netting 244 times in 292 appearances.
Why will he visit?
The main reason for the Emir’s visit was the negotiations that are gathering in the French capital for a new truce in Gaza, since Qatar is a mediating country between Palestine and Israel, but the Elysee dinner aims to bring together sports personalities, so Mbappe is not the only known face invited from soccer.
Paris is hosting the Olympic Games this summer and the gala is also expected to be attended by Mayor Anne Hidalgo, and Amlie Oudea-Castera, head of the Sports and Education department in the French government.
Mbappe would return to the Elysee however with his mind already set on Real Madrid, so none of these people, who have played an important role in the player’s career in France, has a chance of making the world champion change his mind once again.
