Liverpool They are reportedly contemplating making a summer move to sign Borussia Dortmund star Donyell Malen, according to the German outlet. sports image.

The Merseyside club have reportedly been exploring the market to sign a new striker as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah – who has been linked with a departure from the club in recent months.

On the Saudi side, Al-Ittihad formalized its interest in acquiring its service last summer and submitted an official proposal worth around £150 million. But Liverpool reportedly rejected the proposal because they did not want to lose their star.

However, despite failing to acquire Salah last time, Al-Ittihad have not given up hope of signing him and could reignite their interest this summer.

So if Liverpool choose to cash in on Salah ahead of next season, they will have to sign a new striker to replace him. A few names have been suggested as serious targets for the Reds, including Pedro Neto and Michael Olise.

Malen to Liverpool

The 25-year-old has shown promising performances of late, scoring six goals in his last seven appearances in all competitions. So, it seems that after being impressed by his eye-catching recent performances, Liverpool have shown interest in acquiring his services.

Malen is a versatile forward as he can play anywhere on the front line. He is a talented player and could be a smart signing for Liverpool if they buy him.

However, Malen has not been able to show his best consistently in the Bundesliga to prove that he would be an ideal candidate to replace Salah. Therefore, Liverpool would be better off exploring other options to strengthen their attack.
