A group of Atlético fans were attacked by Atlético hooligans in a bar near San Mames, with the fellow hospitalized fan in question claiming “they were out to kill, it was a rat trap” . She also said Chain SER that when the police were called, they said they did not have the resources to attend to the incident.
According to the Statement from Atlético, had complained before the match that they needed to take sufficient measures to protect their traveling fans. Not only did they condemn the violence, but they also announced that they had agreed with the police not to sell tickets to Athletic fans for their match at the Metropolitano in La Liga at the end of April.
