Real Madrid veteran 'will carefully consider contract offer' before deciding path for final years
Real Madrid have four players out of contract this summer, and two are willing to return from their loan deals as things stand, but they are willing to make an effort to keep most of them. Kepa Arrizabalaga is expected to return to Chelsea, and it looks like Luka Modric will move on, but Los Blancos will make offers to Toni Kroos, Nacho Fernandez, Lucas Vazquez and in theory try to buy Joselu Mato directly from Espanyol.
Whether those veterans want to stay is another question. Toni Kroos is keeping his cards close to his chest on a potential retirement, while there have recently been reports that The relationship between Nacho Fernandez and Carlo Ancelotti not the best – the Italian left Nacho for Aurelien Tchouameni in defense against Valencia.
Real Madrid intend to offer Lucas Vázquez a new contract, but have not yet made an official written offer to the player.

According to Matteo Moretto, the future of Vazquez is not certain. The 32-year-old has been a reliable alternative for Dani Carvajal for several years and is expected to be offered a renewal, but he will consider the offer carefully before deciding whether to try a new experience for the last years of his career, or stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.
It seems more likely that Vazquez wanted to stay. He has always spoken highly of Los Blancos and has been as committed as anyone in the team, so it will be if he likes a final shot at regular football. As has been the policy of Real Madrid for more than thirty years, they only offered Vazquez a one-year extension.
