David Moyes is better than Sir Alex Ferguson, says former Manchester United player who played under both managers
Former Manchester United goalkeeper Tim Howard says David Moyes was the best manager he worked with, not Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ferguson is a manchester united legend for his 27 years at the helm of the club in which he won 13 Premier League titles, two Champions Leagues and nine national cups.
When he retired, Moyes was tasked with replacing him at Old Trafford, but he lasted only nine months and found Fergie a difficult person to follow.
Howard spent four years at Manchester United before joining. Everton on loan in 2006 and then completing a permanent move to Goodison Park a year later. He played under Moyes for seven years.
Playing for both coaches, the American was asked who was his favorite boss he worked with in his career, but he gave a surprising answer.
Talking with him daily mirrorHoward was asked who his best manager was and responded: “David Moyes“.
The journalist then responded: “Isn't that Alex Ferguson?”
To which Howard smiled and reiterated: “David Moyes. I spent almost a decade with him.
“He bought me for the football club and he loved me and my teammates, he cared about us and created a family bond.
“We won a lot of games, we had some good cup runs, a bit in Europe. Yes, David Moyes, brilliant.”

But while Howard insisted Moyes was the best manager he played under, he admitted that Mr Alex Ferguson has proven impossible to replace.
“Sir Alex Ferguson and David Gill were a very dynamic duo,” Howard said.
“At one point, Peter Kenyon was there, but then he went to Chelsea and helped build them.
“That's changed. And when that changes, you're swimming in the ocean. And that's why I think that anchor is the team above the team.
“When you're Sir Alex Ferguson and you can pick the right people, and people come because of you, play because of you and are afraid of letting you down, that permeates the whole club. And we don't have that figurehead in the club. football club”.
