Aston Villa star looks forward to rejoining Real Betis in future – 'I'm sure we'll meet again'

After a difficult first six months, Alex Moreno has firmly established himself as a regular for Aston Villa this season. The 30-year-old has played a significant hand in the excellent Premier League campaign so far, both domestically and in the Europa Conference League, a competition they are favorites to win.

Moreno left Real Betis in January 2023 to join Villa, and still has many fond memories of his time at Benito Villamarin. As he told Relevo (via Sports stadium), he always stays with the club as much as possible.

Moreno also spoke highly of Manuel Pellegrini, who played a significant role in his career.

He tells you when you do bad, when you do well, when you have need to improve. He is a good coach and the truth is that I admire him a lot for all the treatment I had with him.”

Moreno also admitted that he hopes to make a return to Betis when his career ends.
