Barcelona has set the plan to create the next wonderful after the success of Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi
It has been a tough season for Barcelona, but one of the rare bright spots has been the emergence of many youngsters from La Masia. Lamine Yamal has been the leader, while the likes of Pau Cubarsi, Fermin Lopez, Marc Guiu and Hector Fort have also had a significant impact.
Given the club's financial problems, chances are that Barcelona will rely on La Masia more than ever in the coming years. I agree with that, and plans have already been put in place to give the youngsters the best possible chance to be ready for a possible promotion to the first team.
Ace for Sport, Barcelona have set up sessions so that young players close to the first team take extra work several afternoons a week. The road path does not only involve designing specific plans for gym work or injury prevention, but also training on the field to improve certain aspects of the game.
It's certainly an exciting time for Barcelona as for La Masia's talents, and their first team could have many academy players in the coming years. This will only be a long term benefit as they are also looking to improve their finances by selling existing high value assets.
