Liverpool either Arsenal They could reportedly achieve “one of the best” deals of the summer by signing Fulham star Joao Palhinha, according to the transfer well-informed person Dean Jones.
The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Craven Cottage ahead of the summer window following Fulham vice-chairman Tony Khan's revelation that they are willing to cash in on the Portuguese if they receive a lucrative offer.
Some big English clubs have expressed interest in signing Palhinha, including Arsenal and Liverpool. The Gunners are reportedly planning to sign a new midfielder as a possible replacement for Thomas Partey, who has been struggling with injury problems in recent years.
On the other hand, despite revamping the engine room last summer, Liverpool are apparently looking to add more firepower to that position heading into next season.
Now, speaking of GiveMeSport, jones has reported that Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing Palhinha and that the midfielder is 'obtainable' 'at the right price'.

The journalist also states that Palhinha would do a “tremendous” job for Liverpool or Arsenal and that he would be “one of the best signings” this summer if one of the two clubs finally manages to acquire his services.
jones He also says that Thomas Tuchel is a big admirer of Palhinha which is why Bayern Munich were linked with an offer for him. However, with the German resigning from his role at the Allianz Stadium, the Bavarian club may not look to secure the Fulham star's signature this summer.
Jones said:
“Obviously, Thomas Tuchel was the one who largely pushed for the move to Bayern. If that starts to not become an option, you start to wonder where Thomas Tuchel will end up next and, if it's a big club, does that open the door for Palhinha to go there?
“Palhinha has been talked about in terms of Arsenal and Liverpool. I think he would do a tremendous job on any of those teams. At the right price, he is affordable. That being the case, I feel like he could be one of the best signings anyone could make this summer.”
It has been suggested that Fulham could accept a fee of around £60 million sell Palhinha, so Arsenal or Liverpool will have to spend a large sum to lure the midfielder away from Craven Cottage during the off-season.
