Alejandro Garnacho praised for key quality that will help Manchester United in their Champions League bid
Alejandro Garnacho He is arguably Manchester United's most talented player and there is one quality in particular that makes him stand out.
The 19-year-old enjoyed another fine performance as he won both of United's penalties in his 2-0 victory against Everton.
Grenache is enjoying his personal best season with the Premier League giants so far, with seven goals and three assists to his name.
He is known for using his pace and attacking defenses in the United attack, and it's something talkSPORT's Tony Cascarino admires most about the Argentine.
At the weekend's sports breakfast, the former Chelsea striker said: “One thing he has and I really like Garnacho for that, because he is always prepared to attack the players.
“Man United over the years, from Stevie Coppell to Gordon Hill and many, many others that I can remember along the way, where they only have wingers like (Ryan) Giggs.
“There are many of them who are prepared to try a player and face him, and he has it.
“Sometimes he really wants to take on the players, he was for me the one who really made the difference yesterday between the two teams.”
Garnacho's effort against Everton, with the penalties scored by Bruno Fernandes and Mark Rashfordcould prove crucial in United's bid for fourth place.
Erik ten Hag's side currently sit eight points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa with ten games left to play this season.
United finished third in the previous campaign, so they still have a lot of work to do to replicate this.
However, a tough matchup could prove too much for them and therefore they may have to settle for a top-seven finish.
Games against Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle and Arsenal are still to come in the final weeks.
Qualification for the Champions League is therefore far from a certainty, but United cannot be ruled out of the race just yet.
