Liverpool 1-1 Man City LIVE REACTION: Points shared as Reds and Citizens produce Premier League thriller at Anfield to keep title race tight
Van Dijk reflects on the draw
Virgil van Dijk was brilliant in Liverpool's defense this afternoon and has been speaking to Sky Sports about the 1-1 draw.
He said: “We should have closed the center (of the field) better in these first 15/20 minutes, but the way we reacted is good.
“We had a lot of really good chances. Unfortunately we couldn't find the winner, so overall it's bittersweet.”
“Based on the second half, we felt like we should have won it.”
Speaking about the battles with City, he said: “City have been very successful with the titles they have won.
“I think every game we've played against each other has been very intense.
“Every game, except the one after we won the league, has been very difficult because they have quality all over the field.
“So coming out with a point is not a bad situation, so we just have to focus on what's next.”
