In some ways Andrey Lunin didn't have the season he hoped for, in other ways it was a real success.
When Thibaut Courtois went down injured at the beginning of the season, it looked like he had a real chance to establish himself.
The loan signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga slightly dashed those hopes, although Lunin has continued to perform well when called upon at this stage of the season. He also beat off Kepa's challenge to become Courtois' undisputed number two, and played far more than he might have feared when Kepa's arrival was announced.
There were some shaky moments along the way, but in the end he managed to get some good minutes and show the world what he can do, in a very high pressure situation.
Now, with Courtois close to a return, his future is open. AS reports that he thinks about his future as a number one somewhere, hoping that these last games as starters for The whites gain interest in a summer move.
