International breaks are usually pretty boring affairs, but Brahim Diaz managed to make this one quite interesting.

After the beginning of his career he made it seem that his great talent could slip a little between the crackshe has found his place as a regular team option at Real Madrid, and has impressed enough that his decision this week to choose Morocco over Spain as his national team has made waves in Iberia.

His interview tonight with The shooting saw him make it very clear that his decision is made, and he has no regrets.

“I never pressured anyone to play for Spain and I never will… I feel 100% Spanish and 100% Moroccan… I'm not sure (if I would celebrate a goal against Spain) but you I can say that I am 100 years old. % convinced of my decision.”

His mind is made up, and he will now hope to move on to be a star for the Atlas Lions rather than an occasional player for Spain. It must have been a difficult decision on his part, but he insists he won't look back with regret:

“The decision is made. There is no point in thinking about “what could have been if…”. It will not change anything. I did not think if Luis De La Fuente called me when I made this decision.”

We hope he makes the most of it and becomes a real star for his grandfather's team.
