Savio was one of the protagonists of this superb campaign of Girona, and it is not surprising to see reports that a move to Manchester City for 30 million euros was agreed.
It is currently owned by Troyes, who are part of the City Football Group with Girona. So, while Manchester City are not yet officially their owners, they effectively are.
What makes Savio so good? He is a talented dribbler with plenty of pace who has been a key part of the Catalan side's wonderful season so far. But a look at his stats shows one thing that really stands out – his shooting.
His expected goals for the season is only 4.74 in La Liga, but has 8 goals. That level of overperformance is only beaten by Kirian de Las Palmas and that man Jude Bellingham, and it shows that he really has an exceptional finish in his locker.
Where he ends up next season is anyone's guess – let's just hope it's in La Liga. Pep Guardiola might not consider himself ready for first-team action, so staying at Girona seems a real possibility.
