Ange Postecoglou was left raging after Tottenham‘s 3-0 thrashing against Fulham that saw his side miss the chance to climb into the Champions League places.

Spurs would have leapfrogged Aston Villa into the Premier League‘s top four with a win and the manager sarcastically fumed during his post-match tunnel interview.

The Australian is renowned for his no nonsense answers to questions about Tottenham’s performances and was animated as he suggest the race for a spot in next season’s Champions League is now over.

After being asked by Sky Sports reporter Emma Saunders about how much of a ‘dent’ defeat has on Tottenham’s European ambitions, Postecoglou hit back by expressing frustration at the line of questioning.

The clearly-annoyed 58-year-old laughed and smiled before stating: ‘Yeh look it’s all over [the top four race] so we will just go for sixth.

‘I mean what am I supposed to say to that, we are two points behind Villa. Yeh?

‘What does that mean with 10 games to go or more than 10 games to go,’ he added.

More to folow.
