Real Madrid have filed an official complaint against referee Juan Martinez Munuera, saying they believed he was “deliberately negligent” after failing to include chants about Vinicius Junior in his match report. However, the party delegate included the chants in his report.

Defender Dani Carvajal said that he had informed Munuera of the songs, although he was denied by the RFEF. In any case, it is the party delegate and the TV director who are responsible for collecting and reporting these comments, as long as they are not of a racist, homophobic or discriminatory nature.

The songs in question – “Vinicius, die” – were not racist, per se Osasuna defended it in a statement as well. Unless Real Madrid feel that the comments were racist, and can argue as much to the Competition Committee, then their case is unlikely to go any further.

Chain Cope they published the report from the delegate in question. During the report, it is detailed that the fans of Osasuna threatened the above, and also “idiot, idiot”, to Vinicius on two occasions. This came amid offensive chants about Real Zaragoza and Aragon, as well as on two occasions chanting “Yes, yes, f*** Real Madrid”.
