Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has been told he could be forced into early retirement due to fouls.
That is the verdict of Arsenal legend Bob Wilson, who believes Saka could be banned from the game when he is 24 years old.
Saka is among the players who commit the most fouls in the Premier League, although he remains one of the Mikel ArtetaThe most key players.
The England international has started every game this season in the Premier League except one in which he was ruled out with a thigh injury.
And Arsenal legend Wilson believes referees must better protect the 22-year-old or he could be forced to retire early.
The former goalkeeper told Daily Telegraph: “What drives me crazy is that we have one of the best young players and, if we are not careful, football will lose him when he is 24 or 25 years old because Bukayo Saka will have been expelled from the game.
“The referees don't seem to see it or understand it.
“There are always a minimum of two players within five meters of Saka and often a third. If they can't stop him, they kick him.
“People say, 'What do you mean? “That's too dramatic.”
“I say there has not been a player kicked more in the Premier League than Bukayo Saka.
“If he's in an attacking position and he's facing them, that's the time I worry. I really worry about Bukayo.”
Wilson is not the only one who believes Saka is already among the best players in the world and Arsenal fans adore him.
Considering he is still a young player, the striker has already played a lot of football for the Gunners.
Since making his debut five years ago, Saka has played 248 times for club and country, including 65 goals.
Earlier this year, Arsenal complained to the PGMOL about the number of fouls the Englishman had suffered.
They believed that the referees were not being strict enough with the players who, in their opinion, had free rein to attack the young man.
