Arsenal could supposedly go toe to toe with Liverpool on a deal to sign VfB Stuttgart star Angelo Stiller this summer, according to transfer journalist Ekrem Konur.
It has been widely reported that the Gunners will remain active in the upcoming transfer window to strengthen their squad and help. Mikel Arteta achieve success next season.
The north London club are apparently prioritizing strengthening their attack by signing a new prolific goalscorer; However, signing a new midfielder as a possible replacement for Thomas Partey is also on their wish list.
The Ghanaian has been battling injury problems in recent years, so the Gunners are reportedly open to letting him leave the club at the end of this season.
Numerous midfielders have been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in recent months, including Douglas Luiz, Amadou Onana and Martin Zubimendi, but Stiller is now emerging as a key new option.

However, the journalist claims that Liverpool are also planning a raid for him, so the Emirates club will face fierce competition to secure any potential deal for the German.

“Stuttgart's 22-year-old German midfielder Angelo Stiller could be an option for Arsenal and Liverpool in the summer transfer market.”
The midfielder, valued at around £15 million per Transfer market – still has three years left on his current contract, so Stuttgart are expected to demand a considerable amount of money for their star to leave the club.
Stiller is a holding midfielder by characteristics, but can also play the box-to-box role. He is technically sound, can make passes between the lines, is efficient at set pieces, has a good eye for scoring goals from distance and is also efficient in defensive contributions.
The German is a highly talented player and could be a smart signing for Arsenal or Liverpool if either club buys him. However, having recently renovated their engine room, Liverpool currently have a well-stocked midfield department. Therefore, it would be better for Stiller to join Arsenal than Liverpool should he eventually leave Stuttgart at the end of this season.
