Real Madrid has been one of the most affected teams in La Liga this season in terms of injuries, but somehow, they have managed to play through that period of crisis without skipping a beat. Carlo Ancelotti's side remain at the top of La Liga with a five-point lead, which could become eight if they beat Athletic Club on Sunday night.
Between December and January, the Blancos were without Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga, which led to Toni Kroos, Federico Valverde and Luka Modric being an established midfield core for Ancelotti. He tended to rely on these three, which left Dani Ceballos out in the cold, despite being available throughout.
It has been a difficult season for Ceballos, who has started just four games in all competitions this season. It doesn't seem to be in Ancelotti's plans for now and going forward, which has led him to consider leaving Real Madrid in the summer in search of regular football, as per Brand.
Ceballos only signed a new three-year contract at the end of last season, but Ancelotti doesn't seem to favor him much. It will be interesting to see if he moves, and if so, will he allow it Real Madrid to generate some income.
