Manchester City and Arsenal drew 0-0 and both teams dropped points in the race for the Premier League title.
The rivals could not separate as they canceled each other out, allowing Liverpool stay clear at the top of the table.
Jurgen Klopp's team is now two points behind the gunmen and three ahead of Man City.
It was Mikel Arteta's men who started with the better team, however, City quickly took control and dominated the first half.
Nathan Ake had his best chance with a header from close range before the defender was forced off with an injury shortly afterwards.

“Difficult game,” Guardiola told BBC MOTD: “Pretty similar game to the previous ones, take the point and move on to the next one.
