Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has revealed that star striker Alexander Isak is not going anywhere despite interest from Arsenal.
The 24-year-old joined the Magpies in a club-record £63million deal in 2022.
He recently scored two penalties and his team achieved a 4-3 victory over western ham on Saturday, taking his goal tally to 18 for the campaign in all competitions.
The Swedish international has been mentioned as a potential goal for Arsenaland in January, Newcastle Chief executive Darren Eales said: “Every player has a price.”
Newcastle, however, who are keen not to break the profit and sustainability rules, will not profit from Isak, according to Howe.
“He is an exceptional talent and no one associated with Newcastle would want to lose him,” the Magpies boss said.
“He was excellent on Saturday. He didn't score in open play, but his two penalties were outstanding and his overall play was very good. His link-up play, his athleticism, he looked in a really good place.”
Isaac previously stated that “if things happen, things can happen” during the international break, incitement Rumors that he could leave the club.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will come calling this season and test Newcastle's resolve, but Isak will no doubt be solely focused on finishing the season on a high.
Newcastle currently occupies eighth position in the standings. first division with 43 points and looking to secure European football when the season ends.
Howe's team faces a relegation-threatened team Everton in their next clash at St James' Park on Tuesday night.
