Rasmus Hojlund told Erik ten Hag that Christian Eriksen deserves more playing time, labeling him a “classy player”.

“But he keeps his head up high and is a classy player. There's no doubt about that.”

“I'm not worried at all. Of course you want to play football and I'm sure he does too.

“(But) he trains well and remains very positive and very helpful, so it's not a big deal. He's a real professional.”

“It was good that he got some minutes against Liverpool. I think he did very well when he came on.”

“He's a good player, so you'd like to see him on the field, but we have a lot of good players.

“So it should be the coach's decision whether he plays or not.”

Eriksen expressed his frustration with Ten Hag: “I've said before that I'm not satisfied with not playing, but it's not something that keeps me up at night.

“The team is performing and I must respect the role you have at my side.

“For my part, it's been about working hard and focusing on being fresh for every game, and I am. It's easier to accept my role now than before.

“I have had a conversation with Erik (ten Hag) about my discontent with the situation and my desire to play as much as possible, but I am available and I need to be available for the team, which I am and always will be.”
