It’s been a special week at Aston Villa, with victories for both our men’s and women’s teams to mark our 150th anniversary celebrations. 

After the launch of our 150th anniversary commemorative kit, involving both men’s and women’s players as well as a host of former Villans, both teams were successful over the weekend, with Unai Emery’s side winning 2-1 over West Ham United in the FA Cup on a special night at Villa Park, before a 9-0 Adobe Women’s FA Cup win against Bristol Rovers.

Celebrating in style

Emery’s men hosted Graham Potter’s West Ham in FA Cup third round action on Friday evening, coming from behind to win 2-1 as the club came together to celebrate 150 years of Aston Villa. 

Goalscorers Amadou Onana and Morgan Rogers were among the Villans to share post-match messages on their official channels…

A legacy like no other…

All corners of the club joined to launch Aston Villa’s special, one-off, commemorative anniversary kit on Tuesday, which the men’s side went on to wear at Villa Park in their FA Cup clash. 

A black shirt was shown off, with members of the men’s and women’s team joined by Unai Emery and Villans of the past, who took to X and Instagram to share their pride…
