Arsenal took the lead at Brighton in controversial fashion when Bukayo Saka fired home from the penalty spot.
But the talkSPORT presenters Jason Cundy and Jamie O'Hara They have insisted that the VAR should have overturned the penalty.
He gunners took the lead in the 33rd minute from 12 yards after John Brooks declared that Tariq Lamptey had fouled Gabriel Jesus.
But replays showed the former Chelsea right-back had received the ball first, before taking the Brazilian forward's legs.
Despite the protests of the Seagulls, the decision was upheld, with Saka Scoring his 14th goal of the Premier League season into the bottom left corner.
And this led to former Blues defender Cundy and former Tottenham midfielder O'Hara to express his surprise at the call.
At the GameDay Phone-In, Cundy said: “A terrible, terrible decision.
“The VAR is there, I see why the referee gave it, and at full speed you think: 'Yes, that's a pen', and then you see him, he receives the ball.
“It's about the ball, he receives it, he hurries up (not a great tackle from Lamptey, I must say), and gives the referee the decision to make.
“But the truth is that the VAR has to intervene, it is never a penalty.”
Jamie O'Hara later commented: “There seems to be a lot of bias in the team.
“Today we saw the match between Manchester City and Crystal Palace (Josko Gvardiol on Eberechi Eze).
“You say, 'That's a penalty,' and we've seen one there.”
Cundy intervened and then stated, “That's worse. He gets the ball.”
O'Hara then stated: “I know I'm playing on the balance side of things.
“But when you look at it, Lamptey gets the ball. It's a bad decision.”
