AC Milan’s Noah Okafor set for medical at RB Leipzig after agreement reached between the two clubs

Sky Germany reports that AC Milan forward Noah Okafor is set for a medical at RB Leipzig ahead of a move to the Bundesliga this winter.

A final agreement between the two clubs was the only thing missing from allowing the deal to be completed, but Okafor will now fly to Germany. The Swiss international is set to join Leipzig on loan for the rest of the season and the Bundesliga side will have a buy option in the agreement.

Okafor will add versatility to a Leipzig attack that lacks quality when Xavi Simons, Loïs Openda and Benjamin Seško are not on the pitch. However, the 24-year-old is currently returning from an injury but should take little integration as he is familiar with the Red Bull style of play having previously played for Red Bull Salzburg.

This will be Leipzig’s second deal of the window after completing the signing of Ridle Baku from Wolfsburg for €4.5m last week. The 26-year-old made his debut at the weekend in Leipzig’s 4-2 win against Werder Bremen.
