kicker reports that nearly everything for Adam Hlozek’s move from Bayer Leverkusen to Hoffenheim has been agreed upon with only the medical check left.
Hlozek is set to move to Hoffenheim for a fee of around €18m making him their record transfer and beating the €14m paid for Mergim Berisha last summer. The fee is not really a problem for Hoffenheim after selling Maximilian Beier to Borussia Dortmund for €30m.
The Czech international was close to moving to newly promoted Premier League side Leicester in a deal that was worth around €20m but the English side never reached a personal agreement with Hlozek.
During his spell at Leverkusen, Hlozek was never able to assert himself in the starting 11 and when he was given the chance he was unable to impress. At Hoffenheim he will likely be one of the main attacking options so will have another chance to redeem himself in the Bundesliga.
