Ajax have reopened talks with Graham Potter, talkSPORT understands.

potter formerly rejected the Dutch giants after reportedly failing to meet their financial demands.

The former Brighton and Chelsea manager is eager to return to the dugout and is a candidate to take charge of Manchester United if they sack Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag is under increasing pressure against the Red Devils following their 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Monday.

talkSPORT understands that United will not make any changes before the FA Cup final later this month against Manchester City.

The Red Devils are on course for their worst ever Premier League result if they maintain their current position in eighth place.

The defeat to Palace was their 13th of the season, the biggest defeat in a Premier League campaign.

Speculation is already growing over who could replace Ten Hag in the summer.

Potter, Thomas Tuchel and Gareth Southgate have been proposed as candidates.

Potter has been out of work since he was sacked by Chelsea in April 2023.
