Micah Richards couldn't escape the wrath of Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer, who explained why he was absent from Match Of The Day this weekend.
Richards was not part of the programming for Saturday night's episode of the BBC show, with Joe Hart joining Shearer and Lineker.
The former Manchester City and the Celtic goalkeeper is set to be a new Regular feature in the program after committing to the program.
So with Richards not on the panel during the opening weekend, Shearer couldn't resist taking a dig at his friend and colleague.
Addressing Lineker in The podcast The Rest Is Football, Shearer said: “Gaz, it was great to have someone on the… Match of the day Who was really good at analysis?
Joe Hart was pretty good, wasn't he?
Richards then explained the reason he wasn't at Match Of The Day this weekend, stating that he doesn't work two days in a row.
He told Lineker and Shearer: “For those who don't know, for Match Of The Day you go into the building at about 12:15, 15 minutes early, you're ready at 12.30 noon and you're done at 12 midnight.
“I can’t do Match Of The Day and then do Super Sunday for another eight hours the next day – it’s a BBC week and then a Sky week.
“This is how it is organized.”
Lineker then hilariously replied: “But he's not going to fall into a mine, is he?”
Leaving Shearer and Richards in hysterics, Shearer added: “You've just taken the words out of my mouth!
“Fuck, 'I can't work eight hours one day and then ten another.'
“Honestly, the worker will be looking at you and feeling disgusted by your attitude!”
Richards then replied: “No, I just like to give my best and when I do I feel energised and doing two days doesn’t work for me.
“Although I was at Goodison Park, it was only two hours of work saving penalties. I don’t want to give too much away, you’ll have to see A League Of Their Own.”
In Richards' defense, he was part of the Super Sunday lineup for the doubleheader that included Brentford against Crystal Palace and Chelsea against Manchester City.
Given their rotation, Richards is likely to return to Match Of The Day next week, unless of course Shearer and Lineker decide they'd rather have Hart back.
