'Always': Ange Postecoglou makes defiant trophy promise in tense interview after Tottenham's defeat to Arsenal
Ange Postecoglou has vowed to win a trophy with Tottenham this season after his side's derby defeat to Arsenal.

As Saunders asked his question, he took the microphone off twice to add more information before hearing Postecoglou's response.

He continued: “No, absolutely not, and I guess I'll correct myself and say that I don't usually win things, I always win things in my second year.
“I don't say things unless I believe them.
“Nothing has changed.”
Asked if he was confident he could achieve that with his current Spurs side, Postecoglou was adamant.
“Well, I've said it,” he said. “I don't say things unless I believe them.”

The former Celtic manager took over as Antonio Conte's permanent replacement at Tottenham last summer, signing a four-year contract.
The 59-year-old led Spurs to a fifth-place finish last season.
Following Sunday's defeat, they are now 13th in the league after four games of the campaign.
He has won titles with Celtic, sealing the Scottish Premiership title and Scottish League Cup in 2022 and 2023, as well as the Scottish Cup in 2023, his second and third years in charge.
Postecoglou also addressed his comments on Don't be worried about Spurs' set pieces back in the spotlight after conceding a goal from a corner against Arsenal.
Speaking after the match, he said: “I haven't brought in a set-piece coach, but people can tell whatever fairy tales they want about me.

“Everything I say has become something else.
“I think we managed the set pieces well today, but they are always a threat and we disconnected in one of them.
“Whether it's a set piece or just any play in general, if you switch off you're going to pay a price against good teams and that happened today.”
