Anna Patten has pledged her allegiance to the Republic of Ireland and has been named in their squad for April’s international fixtures.

The 24-year-old has been capped by England’s Under-21s on seven occasions but has made the switch to Ireland in the hopes of forging an international career in the years to come.

Patten qualifies through both of her maternal grandparents and will link up with the squad ahead of European Championships qualifiers against France and England.

Congratulations, Patsy!
