Manchester City they face a growing defensive injury crisis ahead of the meeting Real Madrid on the 9th of April.
Key duo Kyle Walker and Nathan Ake missed their last game before heading to Madrid as the defending Premier League champions fought back to win 4-2 at Crystal Palace.
Pep Guardiola confirmed that the pair will not miss Selhurst Park and their chances of flying to Madrid remain uncertain.
However, the victory in London could have incurred another loss for Guardiola, with If Guardiol forced out at half time.
The Croatian international did not reappear for the second period with speculation about what his status is.
Guardiola confirmed that the decision to replace him was due to an injury, but it was a precaution.
“The reason Josko left was because he felt a niggle and we didn't want to risk any injury,” according to reports from the Manchester Evening News.
“We will see which players we have available since Josko has a little problem. We will move on to the next one.”
Guardiola will assess his options in the coming days before making a decision on his travel party to the Spanish capital.
The city will be trained in Madrid on April 8 and that could give an idea of their defensive options.
