Anthony Taylor will not referee a Premier League match this weekend after being subjected to abuse on social media following Chelsea win 1-0 at Bournemouthand the English top flight is investigating the case. The 45-year-old showed a Premier League record 14 yellow cards during Saturday's game, eight of them to Chelsea players.
Refereeing body PGMOL said on Tuesday that Taylor will act as fourth official on two occasions this weekend. He will officiate when Southampton host Ipswich on Saturday and Brighton host Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
