Arne Slot will be named the new Liverpool manager after reaching an agreement to replace Jurgen Klopp
Arne Slot will be appointed Liverpool boss after the Reds agreed a deal with Feyenoord, talkSPORT understands.
The Reds had made the Dutchman their main target to replace Klopp, who departure at the end of the season.
Liverpool and Feyenoord have reached an agreement that will see Slot become the new Anfield manager, along with members of his technical staff.
The two clubs have agreed a compensation package worth £12.8 million (€15 million) that will allow Slot to replace Klopp, with the manager desperate for a move to Anfield.
The Eredivisie campaign is about to end, giving Liverpool the green light to move forward and negotiate with Feyenoord now without distractions.
Slot had already revealed that he was hopeful that an agreement would be reached between both clubs.
He made his intentions clear after Feyenoord's 3-1 victory over Go Ahead Eagles on Thursday.
“I know for sure that I would like to work there,” says the 45-year-old.
“All I can say about it is that the clubs are in negotiations. “I'm in the waiting room.”
Slot led Feyenoord to the Eredivisie title last season, as well as winning the Dutch Cup this season with a victory over Nijmegen on Sunday.
Only after the cup victory did Liverpool take a serious interest in the coach, as a sign of respect for the club.
The Reds had undertaken a data-driven approach to finding their successor to Klopp this year after the German announced his decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the season.
Several candidates emerged, including Julian Nagelsmann and Ruben Amorim before Slot became the ideal replacement.
The young manager has been praised for his attacking style, as well as his ability to develop young players, and turned down the opportunity to take charge of Tottenham last season.
