Arsenal They are reported to be in a battle with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United over a deal to sign Juventus star Federico Chiesa this summer, according to a recent report.

The 26-year-old has continued to be linked with a possible exit from the club in this transfer window as he has entered the final year of his current contract and has yet to sign an extension with the Bianconeri.

It has been suggested that the Old Lady of Turin's new manager Thiago Motta does not believe Chiesa is the right choice to play in his system, so Juventus are open to cashing in on him this summer.

According to a recent Italian report (via Mirror), Arsenal have shown interest in signing the Italian and are 'in talks' to close the deal.

The report says Chiesa is likely to be available for a fee of around £30m so the Gunners can secure his signature for a reasonable price.

However, it has been suggested that Tottenham and Man Utd are also interested in buying the striker and could also hold talks with the player's representatives over such a deal.

Furthermore, the report states: Liverpool Juventus had already tried to sign him and had even submitted a huge offer, but they eventually allowed their star player to leave. However, it is unclear whether they are interested in signing the striker or not at the moment.

Chiesa is a versatile striker, as he feels comfortable playing in any position up front, although his preferred position is on the flanks.

He was previously regarded as one of the best young strikers in Europe, but after suffering a serious knee injury a couple of years ago, his development has stalled somewhat. However, he showed his skill and explosiveness at the European Championships with Italy, although his country did not perform at their best in this competition.

Arsenal appear to be looking to sign a new winger, having been linked with a number of names in recent weeks, while Spurs are also reportedly planning to do the same before this transfer window ends. Chiesa remains a top-class player and could be a shrewd signing for Arsenal, Tottenham or Manchester United if any of those clubs sign him.
