An image of the rumored strip for the 2024/25 campaign has been circulating on social media, and the Gooners have given it their seal of approval.

The shirt features a cannon instead of the Arsenal insignia in a nod to the past of the north London team, whose kits from the late 1960s to 1990 were adorned with the same symbol.

Fans will be familiar with the famous design, as the cannon logo has been on display on each of their third kits since the 2021/22 campaign.

However, if the image is indeed legit, this will be the first time in 34 years that Arsenal's home shirt will feature the cannon.

The jersey is reminiscent of the 1988-90 home kit, which contained white sleeves and three Adidas stripes running down from the shoulder.

Praising the new design of the leaked image, one X fan posted: “Love the cannon, followed by the heart eyes emoji.”

Another chimed in: “The equipment looks pretty good, the cannon on the chest adds to the appeal,” and added a fire emoji to emphasize his appreciation.

A third added: “The cannon on the home shirt is genuinely world class. Big fan of that.”

This fan then said: “The cannon looks great in the home kit. Finally!”

Meanwhile, a slightly more negative fan took the kit leak as an opportunity to express his concern about his team's current situation with Arsenal. left behind in the race for the Premier League title.

Aston Villa legend Gabby Agbonlahor sings Arsenal anthem 'North London Forever' on Instagram Live and laughs to rub salt in the wounds.

They said: “Not lifting the PL/CL on these amazing kits should be an act of crime.”

With the rumored home shirt being a treat for the Arsenal faithful, the same cannot be said for the third leaked strip.

Many have compared it to Manchester City's home shirt, with rival fans even mocking the design.
